Social Worker

Cecile Szal joined the Lewiston Group Home in 1975 and is currently the resident social worker there.

Before coming to Saint Andre Home, Cecile worked as a psychiatric clinical therapist for Tri-County Mental Health, conducting home-based family counseling and social work.

As a social worker for Saint Andre Home in Lewiston, some of Cecile's responsibilities include intake assessments to determine placement, individual counseling once the clients are accepted in the program, coordinating services to insure client needs are met, and networking with families and support systems.

When Cecile joined us in 1975, it was a residential care facility for adolescent girls. Over the years, Cecile has seen Saint Andre Home grow and respond to the changing needs of society.

Cecile received her Master's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit.
